Extending 3D printing into injection moulding, reduces prototype development from weeks to days

HALITE VIEW: ADDITIONAL PROOF OF THE RENAISSANCE OCCURRING IN MANUFACTURING.

FROM DESIGN PRODUCTS AND APPLICATIONS: Promolding, a Dutch design and manufacturing engineering firm developed Stratays, a 3D injection moulding printer. Jeroen Gross, the lead Product Develop Manager explains: “Traditionally, injection mould development takes over six weeks to develop prototypes, but by designing and 3D printing the moulds in-house, we can produce complex versions in just three days.”
